Finding a qualified facial therapy specialist can be a challenging journey. Facial paralysis is more common than you might think, yet specialized therapists are often hard to find. I was drawn to this niche because I saw a profound need for knowledgeable and empathetic care, and I have found it to be truly rewarding work.
I specialize in empowering patients through knowledge and expert therapy. For those in the new or acute phase of recovery who feel lost and confused by their diagnosis, I love providing education about the "why" behind their symptoms. My goal is to empower you with the knowledge to understand your healing process, so you can move from feeling scared and helpless to confident and informed.
For those who have been "still waiting" for their recovery for months or even years, or those who feel that their face was "getting better and then I plateaued before it got worse," I understand the frustration of living with constant facial tightness and a feeling of being "stuck." I find immense satisfaction in providing simple, targeted stretches that can give you the relief of having those knots release—sometimes for the first time in years. The smiles and tears of relief that follow are what make this work so meaningful.
I was trained and mentored by Jackie Diels and Susan Rankin, the leading experts in the field of facial neuromuscular re-education (FNMR). My commitment to this specialization is ongoing, and I regularly attend advanced trainings and conferences, including the International Facial Nerve Symposium in Madrid (2025) and the Pacific Neuroscience Institute's Facial Nerve Symposium in Santa Monica, CA (2024) to ensure my practice remains current with the latest research and best practices. I am a member of Facial Therapy Specialists International.
I am currently licensed to treat patients in Utah, with licensing expansion to multiple additional states expected by the end of the 2025 year. Contact me for questions about any other states that I may be treating in.
